Dear Sister,
I received your most kind and welcom letter and am in replie too you well well I hav bin to sea Warner and stade too weeks with them and I saw aboyt twenty yong men while I stade George all of the know nothings is sben here and I say huraugh for the democrats though I am nothing and it makes me mad too here such talk as that Uncle Peater goodwin bet on the election and lost 600 [torn place] You must tell me how the election [went] down there So anuff of this [I have had] a letter from Michel Runion [They have had] bad luck ther oldes child is ded and they named ther baby Marian Elizabeth you all must go up there What fun we wod hav if we all can get too gether once more tell Will he must go too and then I will stay with him I think that I shall hafter com too a close for I am out of soap we are all well and hope when these fiew lines coms too hand they will find you all in good health you must excuse bad writing and speling right soon
